AN OUTCOME on an oral hearing held by An Bord Pleánala held in June to explore future options for Blake’s Corner will not be known “for some months yet,” senior officials in Clare County Council have conceded.
€4.4m has been allocated to Clare County Council from Transport Infrastructure Ireland for road improvements with €2m set aside for Blake’s Corner.

NO injuries were reported after a car collided with a wall at Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon.
Extra toilets are to be provided in Fanore and Kilkee as high numbers of visitors continue to choose Clare as their county of choice for domestic holidays.

An expenditure of €131m is included in Clare County Council’s revenue budget which puts a priority on local SMEs, housing, town enhancement plans and rural regeneration while future capital projects such as the West Clare Greenway, Blake’s Corner and the Killaloe Bypass are identified for progression.
