NOW RUNNING out of room on the mantlepiece, Mark McInerney delivered in red and white yet again to see him named the Martin Daly Autos / The Clare Echo player of the week following the Clare SFC final.

Already the top scorer in the championship, Mark was indeed one of the players of the championship with his final display seeing him among the leading lights for Éire Óg as they claimed three in a row senior titles for the first time.

A personal haul of 4-48 across the Clare SFC saw Mark by a comfortable distance finish as the top scorer.

Of this tally, 1-6 came in the county final, the goal killing off the Kilmurry Ibrickane challenge early while his two pointer gave the Townies another lift on their way to retaining the Jack Daly.

Though he has amassing a nice collection of accolades, this is the first time he has been named player of the week, an award he has received by popular demand.
