Minister of State, Pat Breen was briefed by management of Beckman Coulter’s East Clare facility on their future growth plans earlier this week.

Site Director, Orlaith Lawler and Piers Devereux, VP of Operations for Beckman Coulter in Europe were on hand to welcome the Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection where he was given a tour of the building and an update on the construction work at the Tulla site which is being completed by Brian O’Connell Ltd.

Lawler said the diagnostics company whose products are used in biomedical testing and found in hospitals, laboratories and GP surgeries worldwide were “very pleased to welcome” the Clare TD and update him on the progression of their expansion in the county.

She added, “The visit provided a timely opportunity to brief Minister Breen on our exciting plans for growth over the next 12 months.” 390 people are employed by Beckman Coulter with a staff in excess of 11,000 worldwide. The Tulla workers are engaged in R&D, manufacturing and product support activities.
