A COLLISION involving an Irish Red Cross minibus and jeep saw all passengers involved escape without injury in Lissycasey.
The incident occurred on Monday at approximately 2pm at the townland of Gortygeeheen, just outside Lissycasey, on the N68 Ennis to Kilrush national route.
In a statement to The Clare Echo, a spokesperson for the Irish Red Cross explained that “[On Monday] afternoon an Irish Red Cross Community Support minibus was involved in a traffic incident in Co. Clare”.
“Thankfully all four passengers that were onboard at the time were not injured. They were transported to University Hospital Limerick for assessment, and all were discharged. Passengers in a second vehicle were also unharmed. We would like to thank the National Ambulance Service (NAS), the Fire Service and Gardaí for their response and support at the scene”, they continued.
The N68 was closed for a short time following the incident but reopened soon afterwards.
