44 Tidy Towns groups in Co Clare have been allocated a combined €54,000 which they will be able to use despite the cancellation of this year’s competition.
An Ennis group is among one of only four in the country to tackle gum litter recycling.
Wild About Ennis is a community driven urban biodiversity project that looks to both protect and celebrate the ecological diversity of the Clare capital.
Ennis was one of the big winners in the 2019 Tidy Towns Awards which took place on Monday.
THE presentation of awards in the 2017 ‘Clare in Bloom’, ‘Best Kept Local Authority Estate’ and ‘Pride of Place’ competitions will be held at Áras Contae an Chláir in Ennis on Tuesday, October 17 at 7pm.
