“An accommodation deficit” in Co Clare is hindering the ability to maximise the amount of tourists staying overnight in the county.
West Clare is currently without a designated road technician leading to concern amongst elected representatives that several projects could subsequently “be left on the long finger”.
Clare’s longest serving local elected representative has described the county as “the most anti-rural” so far as planning regulations are concerned.
