Success for Shane O’Donoghue & Rachel Whelan in respective President’s prizes

*Kelly Macclean, winner of the Captain’s Prize to the ladies at Dromoland Golf Club, receiving her prize from men’s club captain, John Casey. Captain John Casey’s prize was the attraction at Dromoland at the weekend where the leading players after 18 holes qualified for a 9 hole play off on Sunday evening.
Feakle hurlers got their senior hurling championship campaign off to a winning start on Saturday and for some of their players it was the completion of a very successful week on the sports front.
There was a keen contest for the highly anticipated Young Trophy in Kilrush Golf Club over the weekend.
Dromoland Golf Club recorded big scores in competitions this week with Noel O’Connor, Michael McCarthy and Michelle McCarthy among the winners at the Newmarket-on-Fergus club.
