A seven month delay to the completion of the Clare County Development Plan has been agreed by local councillors.
Greater communication to the public will be needed to inform of property status changes from the new County Development Plan, local representatives have affirmed.
Clare’s most experienced councillor has warned that the implementation of the new County Development Plan will be “a tragic dictatorship” unless alterations are made.
Planning permission granted for 41 houses in Bunratty has been appealed following fears from local residents that the village would lose its identity as a ‘crucial tourist location’.

Stipulations in the current County Development Plan mean what was formerly Our Lady’s Hospital cannot be knocked or delisted until after 2023 at the earliest.
