SHANNON GOSPEL Choir brought the Christmas sparkle with their festive carols as the festive lights were turned on in Shannon Town.

Christmas lights were officially switched on at the Shannon Town Park on Monday December 1st in what was an evening of music and cheer.

Cathaoirleach of the Shannon Municipal District, Cllr John Crowe (FG) led the countdown as the lights were officially switched on. “It is important to show strength on this particular evening for all the children,” the Sixmilebridge representative stated.

Carols from the Shannon Gospel Choir and festive tunes from DJ Chris Walsh entertained the crowds.

This weekend, Santa’s Aviation Wonderland will be at the Shannon Aviation Museum. Aviation meets imagination with children even welcome to fly tthe B737-800NG simulator through a snowy, starlit sky.
