Clare’s senior hurlers will be without one of their key men for the 2020 championship.

2018 All Star Peter Duggan confirmed in an exclusive interview with The Clare Echo that he will be heading to Australia in November spending one year down under.

A member of the county senior panel since 2012, Peter was an unused substitute during Clare’s memorable 2013 All-Ireland success. He featured for Davy Fitzgerald’s side that also won the 2016 National Hurling League.

After opting against travelling at the end of the 2017 season which was Donal Moloney and Gerry O’Connor’s first year in charge, Duggan would go on to have a brilliant 2018 finishing the year as the top scorer in the championship and receiving a coveted All Star award. The season gone by was not so positive as Clare failed to advance from Munster.
