CLARE’s senior hurlers are close to full strength with just two changes to the starting team for Sunday’s fourth round league tie versus Galway.

Cian Galvin is handed a starting opportunity at wing back in place of Ballyea’s Brandon O’Connell.

Ian Galvin makes way in the first fifteen with David Conroy entering the side as a result. Conroy moves to centre forward with Ryan Taylor listed at corner forward and Peter Duggan on the wing allowing for a midfield pairing of Cathal Malone and David Fitzgerald.

They are the only two changes from the Clare side which trounced Wexford 6-25 1-18 a fortnight ago.

Completing the attack are Tony Kelly at wing-forward, Aidan McCarthy at full-forward and David Reidy at corner forward, the trio between them hit a combined tally of 4-13.

Inagh/Kilnamona’s Eamonn Foudy is rewarded for a fine display against the Model County by retaining the goalkeeper’s jersey. His full-back line is comprised of Adam Hogan, Conor Cleary and Paul Flanagan.

John Conlon continues at centre back where he is flanked by Diarmuid Ryan and Galvin.

Among the substitutes, Darragh Lohan is included for the first time of this year’s League. The Shannon man picked up a hamstring injury in the Munster Senior Hurling League which ruled him out of UL’s Fitzgibbon Cup win.

Scariff’s Mark Rodgers is a notable absentee from the Clare bench while his clubmate Patrick Crotty is included.
