TRUAGH/CLONLARA commence their Munster club camogie campaign this weekend when they travel Leeside.
MTU Arena in Cork is the setting this Sunday as Bob Caulfield’s side begin their efforts to win a second provincial title. They face Cork champions St Finbarr’s at 13:30 in the MTUA Arena.
After winning three Cork titles on the bounce, the Barrs will be looking to defend their Munster title. They claimed county honours two weeks ago when defeating Blackrock 3-14 0-4 with Sorcha McCartan scoring 1-9 with Orlaith Cahalane chipping in with 1-1. Their team also includes Cork great Gemma O’Connor who came out of retirement earlier this season.
October began with Truagh/Clonlara winning the Clare championship for the third time beating Kilmaley 0-16 1-8.
Roisin Begley has been in sparkling form all season for the South-East Clare side for whom Michelle Caulfield, Laura Foley, Áine O’Loughlin, Eimear Kelly and the Horgan sisters Ellen and Hannah remain pivotal players.
