WHERE DID IT go wrong for Clare’s senior hurlers in the opening round of the Munster SHC is the first question posed to pundits on the latest episode of The Water Break.

For the first hurling instalment of The Clare Echo’s video podcast (vodcast) of this championship season we’re joined by two members of the goalkeepers union, Andrew Fahey and Leo Doyle.

Both men lined out between the posts for their county and are able to give an insight on what life is like in goals when your confidence is dropping, an experience that Clare’s Eamonn Foudy withstood on his first championship start during Brian Lohan’s five point loss to Tipperary.

Items on the CLÁR:

  • Where it went wrong for Clare
  • Did Clare pay the price for hard to gauge league form and a failure to experiment
  • Reflecting on the goals conceded
  • Liam Cahill reigns supreme in the sideline battle
  • Puckouts
  • Are the goals the loneliest place on the field
  • A chance for redemption against the All-Ireland champions
  • Changes to be made
