Locals in Miltown Malbay are upset with the manner in which eleven asylum seekers were suddenly transferred to the new Direct Provision centre in Ennis this week.
One elected representative has said ‘Ennis’ history of welcoming refugees’ will be visible when the first of sixty four asylum seekers arrive to the county town later this month.
A new direct provision centre is to open in Ennis and will house up to 64 single residents.
