Corofin football manager Douglas Hurley won’t say that playing in the Munster intermediate final wasn’t on his mind when he took over the manager’s position in the club for the 2021 season.

A self-belief in their fitness and determination ensured Corofin’s players were never going to relent in their pursuit of promotion to the senior ranks.

The fact that Kildysart have lost out at the concluding stages of the intermediate football championship on a number of occasions in modern times isn’t a driving force this year as they look ahead to Saturday’s final in which they will face Corofin.
