A LOTTO player in Clare has won nearly €50,000 surprise after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night’s main Lotto draw.
The lucky winner is entitled to €48,618 following Saturday night’s main Lotto draw. As there was no winner of the €5,915,657 jackpot on offer in last night’s Lotto draw, Wednesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €6.2 million.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Thursday, 2nd July from Centra Loughville Motors on the Lahinch Road in Ennis. The numbers in Saturday, 4th July, Lotto draw were: 6, 17, 18, 27, 38, 42 and the Bonus was 39.
Speaking on the win, National Lottery spokesperson Emma Monaghan said, “What a fantastic weekend surprise for a Lotto player in Clare who is now set to collect €48,618 after matching five numbers and the bonus in Saturday night’s draw”.
“We are encouraging all of our players who purchased a Quick Pick ticket at Centra Loughville Motors on Lahinch Road in Ennis to check their tickets carefully today. The winning ticketholder should sign the back of their ticket and contact our Prize Claims team so that arrangements can be made for them to collect their prize”, the spokesperson continued.
In a statement to The Clare Echo, The National Lottery has advised the Clare ticketholder to sign the back of their ticket and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie. Arrangements will then be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.
The win is the second Clare-related major lotto windfall in recent times after an Ennis motorist claimed over €100,000 in the National Lottery last December.
