A MAN in his 40s is in a critical condition following a single-vehicle collision in Bodyke late on Sunday night.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision on the R352 in Bodyke at around 11.40pm on Sunday, August 23.
The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries.
He remains in a critical condition.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road is currently closed, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who was travelling in the area of the R352 at Ballynahinch, Bodyke between 11pm and midnight on Sunday is asked to provide any available camera footage, including dash-cam footage, to investigating Gardaí.
