THE vibrant heart of West Clare will burst into colour and celebration once again as the Summer Festival at Vandeleur Walled Garden returns for its third and most exciting year yet, running from Friday June 26 to Sunday June 28, 2026.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Vandeleur Walled Garden and Visitor Centre, this three day festival promises an unforgettable blend of music, culture, family fun, and community spirit.
A standout headline programme has been unveiled by festival organisers, led by internationally acclaimed singer Brian Kennedy, fresh from his appearance on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. The Belfast born, multiplatinum recording artist is celebrated worldwide for his emotional depth, vocal mastery, and unforgettable live performances. His inaugural Co. Clare appearance is set to be a festival highlight.
Joining him are the legendary Kilfenora Céilí Band who return by popular demand alongside beloved Kerry comedian Bernard Casey, whose sharp wit and rural charm has captivated audiences across Ireland and beyond. Casey has sold out major venues including the INEC, Vicar Street, and The Everyman Theatre, and has performed internationally in London, New York, and Boston.
Local favourite Patrick Roche will bring his much loved afternoon dancing session on Sunday, encouraging festivalgoers of all ages to it out in style. He leads an afternoon of social dancing in the marquee from 2.30pm — a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Younger visitors are in for a treat with the return of Poppy’s Beeology Show – a joyful mix of juggling, storytelling, puppetry, and science that celebrates the secret life of bees.
Adding to Saturday’s festivities, Kilrush Shamrocks will launch their new publication, ‘Lords and Masters: Celebrating Kilrush Shamrocks Historic Five in a Row, 1975–1979’, written by Chris Dixon O’Mara, in the marquee on Saturday morning. Relive the Shams’ glory days and their historic domination with this exciting publication.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy daytime music from Southern Cross Music, while the ever entertaining Travelling Tradesmen—blacksmith James O’Connor and woodworker and TikTok star Eoin Reardon—will demonstrate their remarkable craftsmanship on Saturday, courtesy of the Gifts of Vandeleur shop.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, a park and ride service will operate some of the evenings between Kilrush town centre and the festival.
All evening concerts are ticketed events. Early booking is strongly advised, as capacity is limited and demand is expected to be high.
