Michael Ryan has made three changes to Tipperary’s team ahead of Sunday’s Munster championship meeting with Clare.

Noel McGrath was one of their leading lights in their second round comeback against Cork but the Loughmore Casteliney man has been dropped to the bench along with corner back Michael Cahill and Joe O’Dwyer.

Ryan had been put under pressure by various GAA pundits to give Cathal Barrett a starting jersey and he comes into the side at midfield where he will partner Ronan Maher, pushing Billy McCarthy to the attack. Patrick Bonner Maher is given only his second start of the championship at centre forward and Donagh Maher comes in for Cahill in defence.
