LOTTO chiefs will today reveal the exact location of where last night’s €5.8m jackpot winning ticket was sold.

One lucky winner scooped €5.8m and last night lotto bosses revealed the winning ticket was sold in the Clare/Limerick area and the retailer will be contacted in the coming hours before the sale location is announced.

The winning ticket was a quickpick and the numbers drawn were 04, 16, 18, 24, 32, 35 and the bonus number was 46. While we’re a little bit jealous of the winner, we’re also delighted to hear that a Clare person could be on the receiving end of a huge windfall.

If it turns out that the winning ticket was indeed sold in Clare, it would follow an incredible run of luck for the county. In October a €500,000 Euromillions ticket was sold in Barrys Mace, Ardnacrusha, which was followed up earlier this month in Dunnes Stores, Ennis where another Euromillions Plus prize worth half a million was won.
