DECLAN FARMER has been announced as the new Academy Manger of Treaty Utd.

Ennis based Declan had been Head Coach of the Treaty U19’s boys team since the club’s establishment in 2020. He is a UEFA A and Elite Youth A licensed coach with significant experience in the game.

He was formerly the assistant manager of the Limerick FC Senior Men’s team and manager of the Limerick FC Under 19 boy’s.

Farmer is currently heavily involved with Lifford FC while he founded the Ennis Town Academy.

In December 2019, he stood down as Chairman of the Clare Schoolboys/Schoolgirls Soccer League (CSSL). During his five years with the CSSL, he has been credited with improving the emerging talent structures for underage county teams which has helped Clare footballers receiving League of Ireland opportunities.

For a total of 17 years, Declan was the head coach of the FAI Limerick Regional Centre in the North Tipperary, Limerick, and Clare regions, with extensive experience in scouting and developing the top youth talent across the areas.

He succeeds John Maclean as Treaty’s Academy Manager. Maclean had been involved with the club after former Clare Oscar Traynor manager Shane Keegan left for Cobh Ramblers in 2022.
