U13 Boys North Munster League: Shannon RFC 12 – 31 Ennis RFC
Ennis’ U13 boys took part in the North Munster League, securing a 12 – 31 victory against Shannon on Sunday.

Only ten minutes into the game, Ennis’ Darragh Fitzgerald scored the team’s first try. Shortly after, Liam McMahon added another try for Ennis just before Shannon scored their first. Oisín Mangan then scored Ennis’ third try after a strong run under the posts, which was converted by Callum McCormick. McCormick also converted the next try by Liam Frawley. At the 40-minute mark, Shannon managed to score a converted try under the posts. However, Ennis sealed the win when Eoin Keane scored the final try, which he also converted, bringing the score to 12 – 31 in Ennis’ favor.

Senior Men 1st XV Junior League: Kinsale 29 – 27 Ennis
The senior men’s team traveled to Kinsale for a hard-fought match in the Junior League, which ended in a 29 – 27 loss for Ennis.

Kinsale scored the first try of the game after a kick-through resulted in a touchdown for a converted try. They then added a second try through a penalty try. Ennis responded with multiple phases of play, with forwards and backs combining well. Jack Dillon scored their first try, which was converted by Dylan Kenny. Ennis’ defense kept Kinsale at bay, and after a kick through, Kenny was awarded a penalty try. By halftime, the score was tied at 14 – 14.

In the second half, Kinsale made an error by knocking on in defense, and Brendan Keane capitalized, running through Kinsale’s defense to score, with the conversion by Kenny. Ennis also converted a penalty, taking a 24 – 14 lead. However, Kinsale rallied, scoring their third try with several pick-and-go phases. They won multiple penalties and pushed up the field to score another converted try, giving them the lead at 26 – 24. Ennis responded with a penalty conversion by Kenny, but Kinsale managed another penalty to secure the win, with a final score of 29 – 27.

Ennis will take on Carrick On Suir in the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup this Sunday at 2pm, away.
