A BATHING prohibition at Ballyalla Bathing Area has been lifted following additional investigative sampling and advice from the HSE.
Clare County Council confirmed today, Tuesday, September 1, that the Prohibition Notice at the bathing area has been lifted.
The prohibition was introduced on Friday, August 28, after routine bathing water samples showed elevated levels of bacteria.
A Red Flag was raised at the bathing area on the advice of the HSE, with the restriction remaining in place until further notice.
Following additional investigative sampling, and on the advice of the HSE, the council has now lifted the prohibition.
