*Clare Rose, Aishling O’Connor and Limerick Rose, Molli-Ann O’Halloran were amongst the performers in the concert.

A mega concert was held in aid of the MidWest Cancer Foundation at UHL on Saturday 6th January 2024 at Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel, Shannon.

The night was a resounding success, with recent winners at last year’s All Ireland Fleadh in Mullingar, Choirs, A teenage storyteller, A Fair City star singing Elvis’s “Can’t help falling with you” 3 Lady Singing Soloists.

One of the highlights and there were several was “Sanctus” from The Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York, composed by world acclaimed Composer Patrick Cassidy sung by The Non Nobis Domine Choir and Harmony Bro, conducted by Mr. Clem Garvey.

The Finale was “Stand up and fight” sung by the Munster Rugby Supporters Choir.

Concert Director/Compere was Noel Murphy, Concert Musical Director was Michael Hennessy, accompanied by Cormac Hennessy and Hugh Connolly.

Concert Producer was Aidan White, Front of House Manager was Anne Barnes, Raffle Supervisor was Kevin Murphy, Concert Photographer was Joe Buckley.

The concert released nearly 5,500 euro for the Charity. Guests of Honour were Donna McGettigan (Cathaoirleach of Shannon Municipal District) and Canon Brendan O’Donoghue of Shannon Parish.
