CLOONEY/QUIN and Wolfe Tones have recorded their first wins of the Clare Cup while back to back wins were secured by Inagh/Kilnamona, Feakle, St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield and Clarecastle.

Inclement weather conditions made life difficult for teams as round two of the Division 1 (A and B), 2, 3 and 4 hurling leagues took place at the weekend.

No games were postponed as Inagh/Kilnamona, Feakle, St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield and Clarecastle were amongst the clubs to make it two wins from two outings in the FutureTicketing Clare.

Cratloe were the biggest winners in the weekend’s games having had twenty six points to spare over a Whitegate outfit which has lost a lot of the players who were part of their line up in recent seasons.

Ballyea and Cratloe remain unbeaten, having drawn when they clashed in the opening round two weeks earlier.

On Monday, Clonlara and Kilmaley will meet at 8:15pm in Clarecastle while O’Garney Park hosts the clash of Sixmilebridge and Newmarket-on-Fergus on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm.
