Over €10,000 worth of drugs were seized across Co Clare in the past week following 46 searches by Gardaí.

Garda officials have confirmed to The Clare Echo that a total of 46 searches were carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act in the past week.

Subsequently, there were three seizures of controlled substances for sale or supply with seven detections of simple possession since Tuesday May 5th.

A house in Ballytigue, Lisdoonvarna was searched on Tuesday last with Gardaí recovering €5,320 of cannabis Herb, €560 worth of cannabis and seven cannabis plants.

One male was stopped and searched by Gardaí at Ennis Train Station on Wednesday last. The man was found to be in possession of cocaine worth €2,310.

€2,000 worth of cannabis herb was discovered at a house in Quilty last Thursday following a search by Gardaí.
