Clare’s senior footballers face another away tie having been drawn to play Westmeath in the third round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.

Colm Collins’ side would have ideally liked to be playing at Cusack Park with home advantage following on from Saturday’s nine point win over Leitrim. On Saturday coming, Clare will be playing in Cusack Park but it will be the stadium in Mullingar as opposed to Ennis.

Throw-in for Saturday’s game is at 6pm in Mullingar.

Westmeath secured their place in the third round following their 2-13 1-10 win over Limerick at the weekend. They were previously eliminated from the Leinster SFC quarter-final losing by two points to Laois.

Jack Cooney’s charges were crowned Division 3 winners in the National Football League earlier this year.

March 2016 was the most recent meeting of the counties at senior level. Clare prevailed 1-18 0-10 in Ennis during their Division 3 League clash.

These round three fixtures are scheduled for this weekend (June 29th/30th) with the dates, times and venues to be confirmed this afternoon.

All-Ireland SFC Round Three Qualifiers;
Kildare v Tyrone at St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge at 5pm on Saturday (On Sky Sports)
Westmeath v Clare at Cusack Park, Mullingar at 6pm on Saturday
Mayo v Armagh at Elverys MacHale Park, Castlebar at 7pm on Saturday (On Sky Sports)
Laois v Offaly at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise at 7pm on Saturday
