Two Munster junior cup last sixteen games involving Clare clubs, Avenue United and Bridge United, scheduled for yesterday (Jan 12) at 2pm were postponed.

The decision to call off the games was made by the Munster football association.

Avenue United were due to play Coachford from Cork at Roslevan while Bridge United had home advantage against Dungarvan United.

New dates for the games have yet to be confirmed but it’s expected to be at least two weeks as both Clare clubs are scheduled to play last 32 fixtures in the FAI junior cup next Sunday, January 19.

Both have home advantage for these games also with Avenue entertaining the competition holders Corkhill from Donegal while Bridge United will have Kilkenny side Evergreen as visitors to Sixmilebridge .

Meanwhile two Clare youths league fixtures, Sporting Ennistymon v St Pats and ShannonTown v Connolly Celtic were postponed due to unplayable pitches.
