CLARE’S senior footballers have named an unchanged team for their opening outing in the All-Ireland SFC.

Mark Fitzgerald and his management have announced the same starting fifteen which lost out to Kerry in the Munster final by seven points for Saturday’s tie with Cork in the first round of the All-Ireland SFC.

Cusack Park hosts the encounter which has a 6pm throw-in.

Captain Cillian Brennan leads the side from full-back with vice captain Stephen Ryan between the posts and Éire Óg duo Ronan Lanigan and Manus Doherty in both corners. The half-back line includes Alan Sweeney, Cillian Rouine and Ikem Ugwueru.

Midfield is once again the partnership of Darragh Bohannon and Brian McNamara while Dermot Coughlan is at centre forward where he is flanked by Daniel Walsh and Gavin Murray.

Aaron Griffin is named at full forward with Emmet McMahon and Ciaran Downes beside him.

There are two changes to the matchday panel with Éinne O’Connor and Cian Burke listed among the substitutes in place of Fergal Ginnane and James Curran.
