Ladies football club action will proceed this summer.

Officers on the Clare ladies football county board are currently compiling a fixtures calendar that will outline the dates, times and venues for championship games.

This will also include the underage ranks. The form in which underage games will be played remains uncertain, the amount of referees and suitable venues may prohibit the running of championships.

Clubs have been informed that senior games are likely to be taking place on Monday nights. As is the case for their camogie counterparts, the club championships are expected to begin in August.

Reigning senior champions Kilmihil will be looking forward to beginning their title defence. Having missed out on their bid to win nine championships in a row, Banner Ladies will be edging to return to the playing fields with renewed vengeance.
