Clare County Arts Service has announced an art exhibition inspired by the West Clare coast at Scariff Library.

‘Inspired by the Wild West’ is a textile exhibition by Kim Thittichai, a textile tutor, artist and author with four published books on the market.

Kim moved from the bright lights and chaotic traffic of Brighton on the English south coast, to the Loop Head Peninsula townland of Fodra one year ago. Living close to Ross Bay and now teaching in her studio in Fodra and online, Kim has developed a fascination with the variety of seaweed that is to be discovered there, the exciting colors, textures and forms.

An exhibition of new work, ‘Inspired by the Wild West’ was influenced by her new home. She is now looking forward to seeing the public reaction, it begins on August 6th.
