Spread of COVID-19 in Clare remains among the lowest in Ireland.

On Sunday, NPHET reported 514 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths associated to the virus across the country.

Clare’s transmission of COVID-19 continues to be among the lowest levels nationally.

Within Clare, West and North Clare has the lowest amount of new cases.

Numbers in hospital and critical care because of the virus continue to decline.  As of 8am today, 116 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 31 are in ICU. 11 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of May 7th, 1,799,190 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland with 494,012 persons fully vaccinated.
