ST JOSEPH’S Secondary School in Spanish Point is the top performing second level school in Co Clare, according to a new report published by the Sunday Independent.

The report analysed levels of third level placement, with results from over 700 schools across Ireland.

The secondary school sent 100 per cent of its students to third level education in 2017.

They have consistently sent more than 80 per cent of their students to third level education over the last decade, sending all of their pupils to third level in 2009.

Rice College in Ennis came in second place, sending 99 per cent of their students to third level education.

Rice College also comes out as the top performing second level school over the last decade, sending 92 per cent of their pupils on to the third level.

Colaiste Muire in Ennis is the top performing school in Clare for sending their students to university, with 53 per cent attending Uni over the last 10 years.
