Lenson Bocko which is part owned by Doolin native, Austin Whelan was crowned as 2019 BoyleSports Derby winner in front of a packed crowd at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night.

Thousands flocked to the famous Ringsend venue to see the Tipperary trained dog take the greatest prize in Irish greyhound racing.

Bocko won by a nose in a thrilling finish, the favourite edged past Run Happy and Boylesports King thanks to his impressive timing encapsulated by the late burst at the finish to scoop the €140,000 prize.
