A €89,430 LOTTO prize remains unclaimed in Miltown Malbay, with the winning ticket holder having until October 23 to come forward.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at McNamee’s Londis on Bank Place, Miltown Malbay, for the Lotto draw on Saturday, July 25.

The winning numbers were 23, 24, 25, 42, 43 and 46, with bonus number 37.

The National Lottery is appealing to players in Clare and anyone who may have visited Miltown Malbay in July to check any tickets they purchased around the date of the draw.

Lotto players have 90 days from the date of a draw to claim prizes. The winning ticket holder therefore has until close of business on Friday, October 23 to claim the €89,430 prize.

Store manager Kevin McNamee said there had been “a great buzz” in Miltown Malbay since the store learned the winning ticket had been sold there.

“With the claim deadline now only a few weeks away, it’s important that all our customers check their old tickets from the end of July,” he said.

National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr urged anyone who bought a ticket at McNamee’s Londis on July 25 to check it.

“The clock is ticking for one Lotto player who has a ticket worth an incredible €89,430! With just three weeks remaining until the claim deadline, we’re urging anyone who purchased a ticket at McNamee’s Londis in Miltown Malbay on 25th July for that Saturday night’s Lotto draw to check it immediately!”

Ms Orr said the winner may not necessarily be from the area, with visitors to Clare also being asked to check tickets they may have taken home with them.

“Miltown Malbay would have been bustling with visitors at the height of the summer, so the winner may not necessarily be a local.

We’re appealing to Lotto players right across the country who may have enjoyed a scenic staycation in the Banner County in July to think back and check any tickets they brought home with them.”
