SHOWPIECE events in the Clare football calendar take pride of place this Saturday and Sunday with silverware to be claimed in the senior and intermediate football championships.

Cusack Park is the venue for Sunday’s senior final where Éire Óg and Kilmurry Ibrickane face off in a repeat of the 2021 decider while Cooraclare is the setting on Saturday for the novel pairing of Naomh Eoin and Wolfe Tones in the intermediate final.

In the latest episode of The Water Break, Páraic McMahon is joined former Clare player and selector, Ger Keane and ex Doonbeg player and for another week he is the current intermediate championship winning manger, Brian Dillon. Both are Clare SFC winners with St Senan’s Kilkee and Doonbeg respectively.

Éire Óg and Kilmurry Ibrickane renew rivalry in the senior final on Sunday October 27th at 2:30pm in Cusack Park. Cooraclare is the venue for the intermediate final where Naomh Eoin and Wolfe Tones face off on Saturday October 26th at 3pm.
