CHAMPIONS Éire Óg will put their Clare SFC title on the line against neighbours St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield after both sides emerged victorious in the semi-finals.

The Clare Echo’s online coverage of the Clare SFC is with thanks to The Shannon Springs Hotel.

Éire Óg were not pushed to their limit but still prevailed against Lissycasey while once again St Joseph’s Doora/Barefield took out a fancied outfit with a narrow victory, this time eliminating an experienced Cratloe.

Corofin and Cooraclare will clash in the Clare IFC final after they defeated Clondegad and Banner in the semi-finals.

Looking back on the action, Páraic McMahon is joined by All-Ireland winning minor Clare ladies football manager Barry Donnelly, ex Kilrush Shamrocks footballer David O’Shea and two-time Clare SFC winner Cooraclare, Tomás Queally who was formerly a selector with the Clare senior footballers.

On the agenda:

  • Doora/Barefield reach a first Clare SFC final since 2012
  • Parish’ pace and energy
  • Bodies on the line
  • Uncharacteristic Cratloe with missed chances
  • Éire Óg not at five-star but in a county final at their ease
  • Lissycasey’s lessons from semi-final showing
  • Corofin & Cooraclare to clash in IFC final
  • Paul Madden’s management suggests a more defensive approach
