EIGHT CANDIDATES have declared for the elections in the Kilrush local electoral area, they along with the key issues for voters in West Clare are the focus for the second episode of our political podcast.

The Electoral Chair also includes an exclusive announcement about a new candidate entering the race to try become one of the twenty eight elected members of Clare County Council.

Moneypoint was one of the big issues in advance of the 2019 elections in the Kilrush LEA but is it as topical now. We analyse what are the issues that will sway the public when it comes to casting their vote on June 7th.

Joining Páraic McMahon are former Mayor of Clare, Patrick Keane (FF) who sat on the Council from 1991 to 2014, ex TD and Senator Madeline Taylor Quinn (FG) who was the first Fine Gael Mayor of Clare and RTÉ reporter Peter O’Connell previously the Editor of The Clare Champion and the paper’s West Clare correspondent.
