TOONAGH NS was one of eighteen schools in the country chosen to outline the initiatives they have in place to promote pupil wellbeing and to prevent bullying.
Toonagh are division 3 All-Ireland handball Féile champions. They played their feile games in Newport, Mayo where their team comprised Darragh Casey, Cillian Cummins, Colm Whelan and Cathal Bohan. They topped their group.
*Frank Custy. DYSART CHURCH was packed to capacity on Monday morning as hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their respects to the traditional music maestro Frank Custy.
*Sean Considine. Irish titles and places on Team Ireland for the World Championships were up for grabs at the weekend when the Irish Junior Nationals were played at the National Handball Centre at Corke Park.
*Colin Crehan. COLIN CREHAN and Diarmaid Nash are viewed as Clare’s greatest chance of success as the Irish Nationals take place in the county.
*Claire Minogue. CLARE DUO, Sean Considine and Claire Minogue have qualified for the All-Ireland juvenile 60×30 handball finals at U14 and U15 respectively.
CLARE HAD MIXED fortunes during the past week in adult handball.
