*The matter was before Killaloe District Court on Monday. A 78-year old Killaloe man who has pleaded guilty to owning a dog who ‘worried’ livestock in connection with a dog attack on sheep that left eight sheep dead has escaped a conviction.
*Brendan O’Mara. THERE IS a High Court challenge in the case where a former Ryanair pilot is facing charges in connection with a Garda seizure of an estimated €10m worth of drugs, a court has heard.
*Bail conditions were relaxed for the trio. AN EXTENSIVE Garda file is to be prepared concerning three 23-year old pro-Palestinian activists charged with the criminal damage of a US military plane at Shannon Airport in November.
*Initial Garda tests found a white substance to be cocaine. A 30-year old Kilrush man spent five weeks on remand in prison due to an incorrect initial Garda test which wrongly determined that the white substance found at his home was cocaine.
*The man was found on a balcony at Killaloe Hotel & Spa. A 45-year old Co Clare man was found by Gardaí “completely out of his mind” and “butt-naked” on a hotel balcony after taking too many micro-doses of magic mushrooms for therapeutic reasons, a court has heard.
*The incident took place in May of this year. A JUDGE has agreed to remove a “farcical” bail condition that a Pro-Palestinian activist living on Inis Oirr has to sign on at her local Garda station by phoning the Garda station on the nearby Inis Mór once a week.
