Scariff played host to a very special gathering on the week that indoor dining was permitted to return.

McNamara’s Restaurant in Scariff hosted the celebration of Joan Giblin’s 90th birthday on Wednesday afternoon.

Former colleagues and friends of Joan’s from her time as a teacher at Scariff National School were present for the momentous occasion.

Tim McGillicuddy, Martin Scanlan, Anna McGillicuddy, Bridget Cahill, Phil Fenwick, Mary Slattery, Bríd Whelan and Loretta Brody were among those present to mark Joan’s special day.
