ENNIS Gardai have confirmed that shots were fired at a house in Clarecastle on Friday night.
The incident occurred around 10.30pm on Friday, November 3.
The occupants of a house in Clarehill, Clarecastle thought they heard fireworks being discharged.
A car was seen leaving the estate imediately after the incident.
Clare Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Joe Downey said: “On further inspection of a house bullet holes were noticed and shell casings were discovered on the ground nearby. The Gardai were called and an investigation was launched”.
A car was later found burnt out between Clarecastle and Dromoland at Mauusmore.
