DIARMUID Ryan has recovered from injury to take his placed in the named Clare team for Sunday’s Munster SHC first round.

Clare welcome Cork to Zimmer Biomet Páirc Cíosóg for Sunday’s provincial opener which commences at 2pm and will have a capacity of over 20,000 in Ennis.

Fourteen of the team which started in last year’s epic All-Ireland final are named in the first fifteen. Shane O’Donnell is ruled out with injury and Ryan Taylor gets the nod in his absence.

Cork have also named fourteen of the fifteen from last year’s decider with Ethan Twomey an indirect replacement for Declan Dalton.

Having missed the entire Allianz National Hurling League with a leg injury, Diarmuid Ryan is listed to start at wing back with John Conlon and David McInerney beside him.

Positional switches aplenty are expected to the announced team.

Eibhear Quilligan mans the goals with the familiar full-back line of Adam Hogan, Conor Cleary and Conor Leen in front of him.
