Clare Echo columnist, Rebecca O’Neill shares her tips on the top makeup gifts for Christmas.

I have been keeping a close eye on some of the best leading brands for makeup, for their annual Christmas makeup sets.

These brands all have products that I personally use on my clients to keep them looking as glam as ever. I am going to list my favourite makeup gift sets this year that are affordable and good quality.

1. Charlotte Tilbury – Pillow Talk Lip Secrets
This limited edition gift set is my absolute favourite when it comes to this brand. It contains nude pink lip liner, plump effect lip gloss, matte lipstick and a shimmer gloss. From my experience in the makeup artistry world, this brand has the best quality lipsticks I have ever used. It has the most luxurious packaging without the big price tag. This set costs €48.00 and can be bought in your nearest Charlotte Tilbury makeup counter.

2. Sculpted by Aimee Connolly – Story of Aimee’s Favourites
This set contains so much product at a very reasonable price. It consists of a Mini Complexion Brush, Mini Beauty Base Pearl, New Cream Luxe Duo and Liquid Lights Blush. I use the beauty base on myself and my clients and it always perfectly preps the skin in order for the foundation to last longer. This set costs €38.95 and contains the best products this brand has to offer.

3. Inglot – Light Up the Night Set
This set offers so many amazing products that are used by Ireland’s biggest makeup artists. This set has to be one of my favourite due to the value you’re getting for your money. It contains strip lashes, highlighter, two lip liners, gel pot eyeliner, lip gloss, an exclusive eyeshadow palette and a very glam makeup bag. This set costs €49.00.

4. Bperfect – Be our guest, have the best
This is the makeup set of dreams. It is worth €116.55 but only costs €39.95. It contains the best all new and exclusive Bperfect products such as the Manifest Aspire Palette, Lash Out Mascara, Pout Star Lipstick: shade Raw, Pout Line Lip Line: shade Tame, Perfection Primer, Perfect Prime Eyeshadow Base, The Contour Queen Beauty Blender, Universal Lash: Vibes and Double Glazed Lipgloss; shade Iced Latte. This set offers so many good quality products at the most affordable price.

5. Benefit – Beauty Sleigh Bells gift set
As we know benefit is best known for their high quality products that make such an impact to a makeup look. This set is the best starter kit when exploring this band. It contains Hoola Matte Bronzer, Gimme Brow Volumizing Brow gel shade 3 and the POREfessional primer mini. These products are my favourite in terms of shade and pigment. This gift set only costs €19.95.

Any of these sets can be found in your local pharmacy or online. These are perfect as a stocking filler or a personal gift for yourself. These are all brands and products that I swear by in terms of using them on myself and others.
