Status Red Weather Warning

A Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warning has been issued for Co Clare for the second time in four days.

Met Éireann have issued the Status Yellow warning for the entire country, it is valid from midday on Monday until 5am on Tuesday morning.

Development of thunderstorms and heavy showers over the western half of the Republic of Ireland have been forecast by Met Éireann. This is to move eastwards this evening where they will continue tonight.

Localised downpours will lead to spot flooding and hazardous driving conditions, Met Éireann have cautioned.

Although the second weather warning in the space of four days, rain is forecast for the bulk of this week bringing to an end a glorious sunny spell in the county.
