A STOLEN vehicle which was found crashed and abandoned on the Quin Rd this week is the subject of a Garda investigation into the alleged theft of an Ennis premises.
Occupants of the vehicle remain at large and have not been located by An Garda Síochána.
Motorists travelling along the Quin Rd were left shocked on Tuesday morning to see how the white Hyundai Tucson ended up on the side of the busy thoroughfare.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told The Clare Echo they are investigating “an alleged burglary of a business premises and theft of a vehicle” on the Quin Rd in Ennis. The burglary is understood to have occurred at 02:30 on the morning of Tuesday (August 25th).
Gardaí located the vehicle a short distance away on the R469 at approximately 06:45 on Tuesday morning. The Garda spokesperson confirmed the “investigation is ongoing”.
