Noise complaints regarding an Ennis pedestrian crossing have been lodged with Clare County Council.
One local resident in the vicinity of the Fair Green and Tim Smythe Park in Ennis lobbied Cllr Pat Daly (FF) to request that the pedestrian crossing be levelled on both sides opposite the playground along the one-way slip-road.
“It’s causing severe noise to a local resident,” Cllr Daly stated in a motion to the September meeting of the Ennis Municipal District. Cllr Clare Colleran Molloy (FF) seconded the proposal.
An inspection will be carried out with any issue to be rectified, acting senior executive engineer Ian Chaplin outlined.
