Co Clare has not recorded an increase in new COVID-19 cases.

For the first time in over a month, a new case assigned to the county was recorded on Sunday. Thus far, it has led to no additional cases.

369 persons to date have been diagnosed with the virus in Clare.

Across the country, no new deaths and 11 further cases have been confirmed.

Speaking on Monday, Dr. Ronan Glynn, Acting Chief Medical Officer outlined, “Our research shows that 38% of the population now believe the worst of the pandemic is ahead of us. This does not have to be the case. Simple measures like hand washing, physical distancing, face coverings in appropriate settings, cough/sneeze etiquette and watching out for symptoms are the crucial elements in suppressing COVID-19.”
