Two Limerick men have been confirmed as the fatalities in Thursday’s single car collision at Parteen.

Gardaí investigating the incident on Monday evening released details of the deceased. Patrick Hogan (30) from Thomondgate and Jonathan Healy of Kileely (24) were fatally injured in the accident.

Results of the post mortem are not being released as of yet due to “operational reasons”, a member of Garda Síochána told The Clare Echo.

A twelve year old boy was transferred to St James Hospital following the incident which occurred at Quinspool South in Parteen shortly after midnight on Thursday morning. Another male, aged 20 was receiving treatment at University Hospital Limerick.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Mayorstone Park Garda Station on 061-456-980 as Gardaí continue their investigation into the collision.
