CATHAL MCInerney is five points clear of Keelan Sexton in the race to win the MD MyClubShop.ie / The Clare Echo top scorer award in this year’s Clare senior football championship.

McInerney won the top scorer award in last year’s campaign after Cratloe lifted the Jack Daly for the third time.

In this year’s championship, he has kicked an impressive 4-21 with Kilmurry Ibrickane’s Keelan Sexton within touching distance on 4-16.

Colm Walsh O’Loghlen in his second season with the Éire Óg senior footballers is the current top scorer for the Ennis side. He is currently eight points adrift of Sexton and thirteen behind McInerney.

Jamie Stack of St Breckan’s who was leading the race to win the award heading into last year’s final has capped off championship of fine shooting form and has clocked up an overall tally of 1-19.
